Quilted Coasters

A little present for a friend on his birthday =)
I love this fabric from Ikea (Josefin) and have already put aside some of it for future projects (handbag and summer top for the moment). It’s a lot lighter than the usual heavy home dec fabric from Ikea and has a really nice feeling to it.

The coasters are again made from instructions from Joelle Hoverson’s book Last Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts. (which I highly recommend)

I found the instructions to be very easy to follow and clear, so it didn’t take me a lot of time to finish these bags. It took me a lot longer to choose the fabrics…
