Quilted Coasters

A little present for a friend on his birthday =)
I love this fabric from Ikea (Josefin) and have already put aside some of it for future projects (handbag and summer top for the moment). It’s a lot lighter than the usual heavy home dec fabric from Ikea and has a really nice feeling to it.

The coasters are again made from instructions from Joelle Hoverson’s book Last Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts. (which I highly recommend)

Organizing my stash

So much fabric, so little space… I rearranged a few of my books and made space for some more of my fabrics.

Teabag Wallet

A handy little teabag wallet. Great for taking that favourite tea of yours to work =)

I found the instructions on Christy’s Creations blog. Very nice instructions and easy to make!
I spent most of the time on the closing buttons… ;-)

The two blue fabrics are from Ikea, the light one is from a thrift store.

Passport Cover

Just in time for my Stockholm trip I finished a quick passport cover. I made it following the great tutorial by bunnybum.
The fabrics, as usual are from Ikea. The orange Gunilla fabric and the blue Fredrika fabric that sadly is no longer available at my local Ikea (I’ve only got a few scraps left…).

Made me laugh ;-)
So, don’t forget to watch out for the water when driving around in your car!

Stockholm

A few photos from my recent trip to Stockholm. I have never been there before and really enjoyed the city.

Oh, and I bought loooots of fabric! If you’re in Stockholm at any point, check out the fantastic Ohlssons fabric store (http://www.ohlssonstyger.se/) on Sveavägen 34 (close to Hötorget metro station). I bought a lot of fabric there for very little money.
Downstairs you can buy fabric “leftovers” by the kilo (leftovers might by the understatement of the year – I for example bought a 2,3 kg heavy, about 5 m long piece of home dec fabric). Upstairs in the back and downstairs in the back there are sale fabrics (you can get great  fabrics for about € 2.- or € 3.-  per meter).
I went there twice in the four days I was in Stockholm… ;-)

Quilted Coasters

A little gift for my grand parents. Four quilted coasters, following the instructions from Joelle Hoverson’s book “Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts”.

They’re really quick and easy to make & a great gift.
